The countdown to 2026 is right around the corner!
As we near the end of 2025, we are grateful and excited for the ways God is moving through Shoulder to Shoulder, and through our missionaries and staff who diligently serve, equip, and empower pastors and churches across Mexico.
COUNT THE IMPACT
It is interesting to look at some of the numbers that tell a little of the story of this year. In our Pastoral Center, we held 21 training courses or conferences this year, with 1,622 pastors and church leaders attending these events. We are currently serving 65 churches in and around the Mazatlán area. The impact of STS reaches over 9,600 believers in these churches. The Resource Center is open daily to meet with pastors, and 2,200 books and Bibles have been distributed this year. We reach out weekly to ask pastors for their prayer requests, and our staff sets aside intentional time to pray for these requests and to lift up each pastor by name.

Training for Pastors and Leaders
This year, 11 churches applied for and received matching funds to complete important projects in their buildings. More than 200 children were reached weekly through four Safe Zone projects in the city, receiving meals, school supplies, academic support, and engaging activities. Additionally, 11 teams came from churches in the USA to partner in meaningful ways, serving, equipping, and empowering churches across Mexico.

Testimony Time
A few weeks ago, we offered a training called “Breaking the Silence,” focused on embracing Deaf and neurodivergent members in our churches. Since then, we’ve already seen incredible fruit.
Because of the training STS offered, one pastor became obedient to the Lord’s prompting to respond in a practical way. Partnering with a woman in his church who knows sign language, they have now begun interpreting their Sunday services for the Deaf community. An entire group of people who were often overlooked are now being intentionally welcomed and discipled.
This is what Shoulder to Shoulder is all about — equipping churches to see the needs around them and respond in Christ-centered ways that truly transform their communities. God is on the move! The church is responding, awakening, and growing — not just in numbers, but in maturity.
Whats ahead for 2026?
2026 is promising to be quite a year of growth and changes!
We are excited to be welcoming three new missionaries to our team, one new intern and four missionary children. Also, the countdown has begun for the opening of our new STS ministry in the city of Tepic!
Our goal is to raise $50,000 dollars. Currently we still need $38,000 to meet this goal. These funds will help buy:
Bibles and books
Training materials
Book cases, chairs, tables
Other needed furnishings.
It will also pay for the first year of rent of the new pastoral center location.
Would you consider giving a special gift to help make the new pastoral center in Tepic possible?
Please pray for our missionaries the Leyva family as they make this transition.
